Ethereum validators will soon be able to withdraw their Ether ETHtickers down to $1,789 from the Beacon Chain, enabled by Ethereum Improvement Proposal EIP-4895. The epoch, slot, and time were confirmed following a week-long deliberation between members of the Ethereum Foundation. There are now 17.81 million Ether staked on the Beacon Chain. At a current price of $1,776, $31.6 billion can be unlocked over time, with Staked Ether added to the Beacon Chain since it launched in December 2020. Shapella is the most significant Ethereum hard fork, while Berlin will optimize petrol prices in April 2021 and London will introduce EIP-1559 in August 2021.
Istanbul enhanced layer-2 scaling solutions’ performance and resilience to denial-of-service attacks. The Ethereum Foundation increased rewards when bugs were discovered in the Shapella code, with successful bounties ranging from $2,000 to $250,000.
