The risk of a break below $1,740 exists as the price of ether is struggling to overcome the $1,840 resistance against the US dollar. On the hourly chart of ETH/USD, there is a break below a significant bullish trend line with support located close to $1,760. (data feed via Kraken). If there is a clear move below the 50% Fib retracement level of the upward movement from the $750 swing low to $1,845 high, the pair may fall even further.
