2023 has started off well for Bitcoin, outperforming the S&P 500 Index by almost 60%. Anthony Scaramucci, the founder of SkyBridge Capital, expressed confidence in his company’s cryptocurrency investments and believes “we’re through the bear market.” Bitcoin has gone through a four-year cycle of gains, with each cycle of halving being followed by the beginning of an upward trend.
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index is presently in greed territory and pushing for highs not seen since November 2021, despite the unfavorable market and regulatory conditions. This indicates that the sentiment towards cryptocurrencies is still positive.
